A City Guide to Leeds

clarence_dock_leeds-300x199-7154495If you love bars and you live to party then the UK has some of the best nightlife in Europe, from the capital city of London with its swanky bars and legendary clubs to Oxford and their quirky pubs. There’s plenty to suit every taste in England, so to celebrate the UK and its weird and wonderful nightlife. We’re going to be writing a series of UK party guides and to start off – we’re going to start the series off with Leeds.

Now most UK resident’s visit the city to have a Leeds stag do due to its lively and cosmopolitan night scene. It is also considered to be one of England’s biggest party towns, partly thanks to its University which see’s hundreds of students out every Friday night. So you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to drinking establishments as there are cheaper student friendly places to more elegant up market establishments.

However if its bars you’re after we recommend heading to the Northern quarter where some of the best bars in the city are. In fact one of the best bars in this area is The Reform bar. It’s trendy, spacious and a regular haunt for locals who love its tasty cocktails and relaxed atmosphere. Plus they serve drinks till 6AM so it’s a great place to get a guaranteed drink! There’s also SoBe which stands for South beach and despite the fact that it’s much smaller it serves an impressive array of drinks and their cocktails use only the best ingredients. However we should mention that during the weekends it can get very busy – you have been warned!

However after if it’s clubbing you’re looking for then – head over to The Elbow Room as it’s the most popular club in town. But if you’re tired of dancing the club has recently undergone a refreshing refurbishment. So now it houses a pool table, serves food and has plenty of lounge chairs for you to relax on.

So whether you’re on a stag party or on holiday, this wild city has a lot to offer the nightlife veteran!
