Botswana is a spectacular swirl of thriving eco-systems, with the country’s Okavango Delta twisting its way over its plains. Buzzing with birdlife, wildlife, and a notable variety of lush vegetation, Botswana is an absolute must for an African safari adventure.
The area is packed with natural beauty, and a trip to one of its best game parks will not leave you disappointed!
This national park is known for having one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. The plains are filled with migratory herds and of course predators eager to hunt down a meal of them. Chobe National Park is packed with brilliant wildlife viewing on Botswana’s lush landscape. The park’s large elephant population is yet another variable adding to Chobe’s appeal and proud Big 5 resume.
This section of Botswana provides a well maintained home for a list of rare and endangered animals. Moremi is arguably the most scenic wildlife sanctuary for exploring on safari. A big chunk of the Okavango Delta makes up Moremi Game Reserve, which explains the healthy green vegetation and vast kaleidoscope of bird life and wildlife that are found nestled in this lush haven of unspoiled wilderness.

3. Makgadikgadi Pans
An area truly unique to Africa, the Makgadikgadi Pans are dry salt pans in the middle of dry savanna. When the pans are dry, the landscape is dotted with baobab trees and the glistening salt fossil pans around which wild animals like zebra, springbok and impala graze. When the salt pans are wet, the space is just as beautiful, with hoards of migratory birds flittering around the hydrated salt pan basins. The area is also a place where you can see wildebeest and zebra by their side.
Surely a must see part of any trip to Botswana? The Makgadikgadi Pans.
Nestled between Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta, Selinda Reserve is home to two permanent lodges and two fly camps, making for the ideal, secluded location for viewing game on safaris. Safari adventures give travellers the opportunity to surround themselves with a true into-Africa ambience and soak themselves in the flavour of what Africa’s wilderness and wildlife are all about. The herds of elephant and prides of roaming lion give the reserve its renowned names, as well as, of course, its leopard, cheetah and giraffe presence.
If you’re planning on delving into the gorgeous surrounding beauty of Botswana, be sure to venture into one of the above best destinations for game viewing.
